We grew up in [Dhaka], where food was how you said welcome. In our home in Sydney, that never changed. Every dawat ended the same way: guests asking for the kachchi recipe, the shahi roast, the payesh [Name]'s mother taught her to make. Some of them started asking us to cook for their own parties.

In [year], we said yes. Since then we've cooked for [X]+ events, from first birthdays in Wollongong to a harbour cruise under the Opera House. We still cook every order ourselves, in small batches, the way we'd cook for our own guests. On the day, we're there: setting up, serving, and making sure every plate goes out right.
